Overview of Program

WA-ACHE’s Mentorship Program empowers novice to senior-level experienced career professionals to navigate their professional roles, and create opportunities for development, connection, and engagement.

The program is free of charge and open to WA-ACHE healthcare professionals across the state. Our program is designed for healthcare leaders who are employed full-time and are seeking growth as leaders and professionals. Our focus is early careerists.

Our goal is to enroll approximately 10 mentor/mentee pairs into the program.

  • Mentees need to be an ACHE member for minimum of 1 year, employed or seeking employment in a healthcare role and who are looking to grow professionally.
  • Mentors need to be an ACHE member for at least three years and are mid careerists to seasoned executives looking to invest in aspiring healthcare professionals.

If interested please connect with us in person or reach out for more information. We will be sending out information to our membership in early January, 2024.

What is Mentoring?

  • A relationship between two individuals, with the more experienced individual, the mentor, serving as a role model and/or counselor that provides guidance for the mentee in key areas of management and leadership skills.
  • It is a relationship based on trust and mutual respect in which both the mentor and the mentee have responsibilities and should benefit from the relationship.

Who Should Be a Mentor vs. Mentee?

WA-ACHE’s Mentor Program is for professionals in various stages of their healthcare career. WA-ACHE defines seasoned healthcare professionals, mid-careerists and early-careerists as follows:

Seasoned Healthcare Executives:

  • Mid-Careerist Professionals: Directors, Administrators and Managers with 2-5 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Early-Careerist Professionals: Professionals in the early stages of their career in healthcare.

We are 48,000 members strong. Join healthcare leaders from across the country and around the world, dedicated to improving health for their patients and in their communities.
