Board of Directors: At-Large Rosalee Allan

Rosalee Allan, FACHE, served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for Pathology Associates Medical Laboratories (PAML) from 1999 to May 2017

 when PAML was sold to a national laboratory provider. Recognizing that 80% of laboratory error occurs in pre- and post-analytical processes, she led innovation in these areas with a continuous focus on decreasing health care service failures, improving responsiveness to client resolution, and improving patient safety. Ms. Allan received her BS degree in Healthcare Financial Management from Whitworth University. She is currently a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and has been a long-standing member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and holds PHR and SHRM-CP certifications.

Currently, she is employed as a full-time professor at Eastern Washington University and teaches in the Health Services Administration Department. Ms. Allan currently serves on the Executive Committee for the Washington State Patient Safety Coalition. She has also personally been recognized in her career. In 2010, The Inland Business Catalyst magazine recognized her as one of Spokane’s Most Powerful People in Business, and in 2014, she was awarded the Prime Spirit Award, recognizing her work through the years with children advocacy groups and the homeless. In 2017, she was inducted into the Upsilon Phi Delta Society health care organization.

Brian Barry, Past-President

Brian Barry is the Chief Operating Officer at MultiCare Medical Associates. He formerly served as the Chief Operating Officer of Kadlec Clinics and as the Regional Vice President of the Ambulatory Network for SSM Health’s Mid-Missouri region. Prior to an exclusive focus on ambulatory operations, Mr. Barry was the VP of Strategy and Business Development at SSM Health’s St. Mary’s Hospital, where he held operational oversight over the medical group. He has a long career in strategic planning and business development, holding positions at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colorado, and in the Front Range of Colorado at Catholic Health Initiatives and Centura Health.

Mr. Barry holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado in Boulder and an M.A. in Political Science from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, where he focused on Environmental Policy and Public Administration. Mr. Barry has served as a former board member for many professional, civil, and personal organizations, including Colorado’s ACHE chapter, The Grand Junction Visitor and Convention Bureau, and the Capital City Soccer Club.

 

Andrea Zavos Turner

Since 2018, Andrea Zavos Turner, FACHE, has been the Director of Primary and Urgent Care at Overlake Medical Center & Clinics in Bellevue, Washington. 

Ms. Turner was the recipient of the American College of Healthcare Executives Regent’s Award for excellence in healthcare management in 2010 and 2015. She has served with the Board of Directors of the Washington State Healthcare Executives Forum in a variety of roles, including Chapter President and Military Representative to the Board of Ambulatory Care & Allied Care Services at Harborview Medical Center / UW Medicine (2016-2018); Chief, Clinical Services Division at Madigan Army Medical Center (JBLM; 2008-2016); and the Director of Business Operations, Division of Ambulatory Care at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City (2004-2008). From 1998 to 2004, Ms. Turner served as a United States Army Medical Service Corps officer in a variety of staff positions, including a comptroller internship and clinical operations.

In addition to her service to ACHE, Ms. Turner is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Seattle and has worked with several committees, including Bellevue Arts, Life Skills-Teen, and Advocacy Vice Chair. Ms. Turner actively participates in City of Bellevue civic activities graduating from the Bellevue Essentials leadership program in 2013 and the Community Emergency Response Team in 2017. She currently serves on Citizen Corps Council, is the Legislative Representative for the Medina PTA, and is the team manager for Bellevue United FC & Bellevue West Little League. She has previously served as a founding club member, Club President, and Area Governor for Toastmasters International, a leading organization in public speaking and leadership development.

Ms. Turner received her master of health science degree with a concentration in health finance and management from Johns Hopkins University and her bachelor of arts degree from Tulane University.
